Product Philosophy
A New Concept for Food and Drug Packaging
For years, we’ve frequently heard reports and news stories about accidental ingestion of desiccants. This very phenomenon itself highlights a significant flaw. In today’s rapidly advancing era, the EU’s philosophy holds that “a product with defects is an unsafe product.” So how can we make desiccants safer and prevent accidental ingestion? Based on the unique characteristics of desiccant packaging in pharmaceutical bottles, we’ve conducted extensive research and development, resulting in two innovative combinations and two patented inventions. These solutions allow desiccants to be either placed securely on the bottle cap or fixed firmly at the bottom of the bottle. As a result, we’ve effectively eliminated the risk of accidental ingestion by preschool children and elderly individuals, making our products more user-friendly and significantly safer.
Some companies ask: “This type of packaging is good, but the higher cost puts an added burden on both businesses and consumers.” However, the truth is that this new patented desiccant hasn’t significantly increased costs for businesses...
1. No bag ruptures (Currently, paper bags tend to rupture during the filling of desiccant packets, contaminating the production environment and posing a risk of people stepping on them and falling).
2. It does not generate even trace amounts of dust.
Third, regarding product protection, the moisture-absorbing duration is 15 days longer compared to silica gel.
Fourth, enterprises can avoid many unnecessary risks associated with manual filling or mechanical dispensing and cutting processes. (Due to process limitations, the probability of package damage for desiccant packets in multi-packs may also be relatively high.)
5. The desiccant is relatively fixed at the bottom of the product, so users won’t accidentally pour it in and out during use. (If you discard the desiccant, there’s a risk that the entire bottle of medication might get damp before you’ve finished it—and putting the desiccant back in could potentially contaminate the medication inside the bottle.)
Six, there is no risk of accidental ingestion. (In fact, the cost of hidden risks will continue to rise.) Overall costs remain stable and even show a slight decline.
To prevent accidental ingestion, extend shelf life, and mitigate other risks—making businesses more reassured, more convenient, and more user-friendly—is indeed worthwhile. This is both a responsibility and a step forward. We have already filed for a world patent, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has accepted our application. We are also preparing to file applications in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and other regions.
Not everything good has to be expensive—offering high-quality products at low prices is our shared goal with businesses.
